在國際大都會新加坡的摩天大樓中,有一間安靜的商店,從地板到天花板上到處都是道教神像。有些甚至和椅子一樣大, 而有的只有手機那麼小。西天園已有123年的歷史。這閒佛店現在是新加坡最後一家僅存的商店。

Learn about the well-known and not so well-known characters of Chinese culture, religion and philosophy, and how they shaped the identity, aspirations, and values of Singapore's early migrants.

Re-live the early lives of this family of Singaporean craftsmen through original documents and memorable personal anecdotes - and be inspired to trace your family's own migrant story.
MODULE 3
Craft
Try your hand at the ancient craft of "Tza Sua" ("Painting lines" in Hokkien), in which ash dough made from a secret family recipe is used to create dragons, chrysanthemums, peonies, pavilions, swirling clouds, and raging oceans.
Module 4
Innovation
Learn about the journey of design and innovation that the shop's 4th generation is now embarking on to preserve the business, through working with Airbnb and New York's Parsons School of Design (the #1-ranked design school in the US).

Sessions will be conducted by docents with opportunities to interact with the artisans.
Standard price: $285 per student for all 3 sessions
Sessions will be conducted at 35 Neil Rd, in a conservation shophouse in the historic district of Kreta Ayer
