Battles of the BFFs

* All safe management measures will be adhered to. Masks are required at all times. 

* Pls bring your own snacks and water bottle. There will be time set aside for tea. 

In this session, we will introduce your child to one of the most iconic figures in Chinese history - Guan Yu - and the 14th century historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Activities include:

- Time travel through co-composing a battlefield soundscape.

- Dramatic story-telling of excerpts from the Romance of The Three Kingdoms that bring to life the bonds between Guan Yu and his 2 sworn brothers.

- Relive the famous battle of Red Cliff through a game of Chinese Chess and appreciate the underlying principles of the game, such as 顺应时势 and 见招拆招.

- Craft activity on 变脸, the ancient Chinese dramatic art originating from Sichuan opera (川剧). which can be dated back to the Qing Dynasty.

- Experience the value of 义 (loyalty and integrity) through a game involving Hershey's chocolates.

- Understand what true friendship means, as our children grow up in a world of Insta, Roblox and TikTok.
